Lucky Me

Another Swap Bot swap and this time it was a pincushion swap.
And look what I got!!!!!! A toadstool, isn't it beautiful! I really don't want to stick pins into it ;) I think I will give it a nice place in our living room, it really needs a bit more attention than just being a pincushion.

Another Swap

I am starting to be a real Swap-Bot addict and especially the Dutch Swappers group is what I like a lot. I wrote about it before and I really have to show you what I received for the "Kringloop Goudmijntjes" swap. Mission was to buy something from the thriftstore for a maximum of 1,50 euros. Afterwards you could upcycle it if neccesary. And I got this very cute (and eco cotton!) bag, decorated with lovely flowers, made from recycled sweaters and blankets. I am going to put it in my bag and use it when I am in the city to put in my purchases. A good way to avoid ending up with tons of plastic bags.

Cute Owl

I received this cute owl applique via the mail from Marjolijn for a swap-bot swap I did.

Coffee swap

A little while ago, I agreed with Margy to do a coffee themed swap. Last Monday, this package arrived and how I love it all!

We decided that the colours should be pink and red and white and that there should be at least one handmade item in the swap. I really adore the crocheted cup and the little quilt and yum, there are some Belgian chocolates and cookies too!
This is the package that I sent to Margy (I hope she will post a picture when she has opened it...)

Bookmark Swap

I love swapping! This time I joined the Bookmark Swap at Swap-Bot. And I will be sending these to Brazil and the U.S.

And I love to receive mail! It is always exciting to receive swap-mail and to see what other people made for you.... I will make a picture of the bookmarks that I will receive for this swap and show them to you later.

To protect our new table

During the christmas holiday, we bought a new table for the living room.
The previous one didn't last very long (I think for about a year), because of falling glasses of lemonade, playing with cars on it and other unidentified falling items (read: toys).
To be sure that this table will last a bit longer, I made some coasters to put our cups on.
I received the fabrics via a 5x5inch (12x12cm) fabric swap via Swap-bot. I had them already for a while, thinking about what to do with them. They turned out to be perfect for this project.

Christmas Swap

I found this sweet package in my mail last Friday.
I did a christmas swap with Petra from byPetra and she sent me this christmas bag filled with little gift labels and cute christmas ornaments.

In for a swap?

I received this MarieClaire idees magazine as a present, but I have a subsciption to it as well, so now I have two of them. It is the winter edition with lots of ideas for winter and christmas crafts.
Would anyone like to swap this for something else wintery (magazine, fabric, christmas decoration etc....)?

Little monsters

Via Swap-bot, I signed in for a monster swap.
I received this cute little pink monster from the US:

The concept of Swap-Bot is very nice. There are all different kinds of swaps (fabrics, postcards, souvenirs etc.) to choose from or you can set-up one yourself. You end up in a pool and a random swap partner is assigned. So, always a surprise who to send your swap to.
