I won!

I joined a give away on the blog of Nicole. And I won!!!
I received these three cute matchbooks and a little notebook as well, all beautifully stamped and packed (she sells those cute stamps and packaging in her shop too).
Thanks Nicole!

New Old Skirt

I had this plain light blue skirt in my closet for a while and I thought it would be nice if I dressed it up a little bit. So I drew some flowers, cutted them out of double sided vliesofix, ironed them on one of my favourite fabrics, cutted these out as well, ironed the flowers onto my skirt and used a small zig-zag stich (stitch length of just above zero) to attach the flowers nicely to my skirt. Easy, right? I have uploaded the flower templates (in Dutch and in English) onto my website if you are interested in making your own flower appliques too.

Coffee swap

A little while ago, I agreed with Margy to do a coffee themed swap. Last Monday, this package arrived and how I love it all!

We decided that the colours should be pink and red and white and that there should be at least one handmade item in the swap. I really adore the crocheted cup and the little quilt and yum, there are some Belgian chocolates and cookies too!
This is the package that I sent to Margy (I hope she will post a picture when she has opened it...)

Thanks Margy, I really enjoyed this swap!

Tour de Jeunesse

Last weekend, my sister and I organised a "Tour de Jeunesse" (youth tour) for our mums 65th birthday. We rented two 2CV's and drove along all the places that were important in her life, like where she lived, worked, got married etc. She was really surprised, because we didn't tell her anything (she is curious!), we just came driving in their street to pick them up.

We were very lucky with the fantastic weather, so that we could drive with the roof open and that we could have a picknick in the open air in a meadow, surrounded by cows. It almost felt like we were on holiday!

Fabric Covered Buttons

Already in the shop for a few weeks, but I forgot to mention them here.... I now sell materials to make your own fabric covered buttons with. The possibilities are endless, you can make matching buttons for a dress, but also cover buttons with cute fabric especially selected for this project, also in the shop. There are cover buttons with a flat back as well, so that you can attach a magnet, a bobby pin or a ring to it.

MooiMiek

Annemieke from MooiMiek sent me this picture last week. She made applications on a t-shirt for her son from a fabric that she bought in my shop. Again such a nice and simple idea to make something cool for boys! By the way, Annemieke has started a weblog as well, I am sure that she likes it if you go there and take a look!
