Tour de Jeunesse

Last weekend, my sister and I organised a "Tour de Jeunesse" (youth tour) for our mums 65th birthday. We rented two 2CV's and drove along all the places that were important in her life, like where she lived, worked, got married etc. She was really surprised, because we didn't tell her anything (she is curious!), we just came driving in their street to pick them up.

We were very lucky with the fantastic weather, so that we could drive with the roof open and that we could have a picknick in the open air in a meadow, surrounded by cows. It almost felt like we were on holiday!

Hi, I found you through Elly on My Everyday Things and I have to say that this post is the sweetest post I have read for some time, what a beautiful thing you did for your mother, I love those cars, and to picnic and visit the special places is such a gift. You and your sister are great people. hugs Margie.
